A New Design. A New Method. Old Ideas.

There has got to be some way to introduce law to laymen, that won't create more frowns on their already wrinkled foreheads.
This, my friends, is my purpose in life.
I will dedicate myself in introducing law to people, in a way that they can easily understand it.
Even if it means I have to cram myself with lots of boring subjects and literatures.
We gotta have a martyr. Lots of martyrs. To make a better Indonesia.

Fiat justitia et pereat mundus.

About My Passion

I'm writing this post around half past one in the evening. I don't even know why I wrote this post. But maybe it has something to do with reading @pandji's and @radityadika's blog. I was supposed to be studying for this morning's exam. Yes, supposed to. Even though I had the urge to study, but still, Castle is a far more interesting distraction.

Speaking of the exam, I am fully aware that I'm a senior. Well, the senior's senior actually. I've been lacking on my graduation and, sadfully but true, is a year short on graduation. But what the hey, I don't take it as a serious matter to over ponder. The reason I even took another class is about the class itself. It's about intellectual property rights. A law regime that is very unorthodox for Indonesia's culture. But we'll skip the explanation for further information. Since I joined Provocative Proactive, I've been introduced to an abundant amount of creative people. Those guys introduced me to a completely different world that I've been living in. A world that I've been living in is an uptight-pressured world that pushes you to have a steady job, get married, have children, and live happily ever after. Not that these people aren't living the life of their dreams, but their lives are more...... how can put it...... colorful. They're living by their passion. And it's making them a happier person.

After struggling to find my passion these past couple of years, I'm nearing to find it. I know that I am into law, but I don't think that I will be lawyering for the rest of my life. I actually want a 'life' :p Some of my fellow law students said that I'd be a terrific lawyer. I would not contest that statement, but might as well do. If by lawyer they mean a zombie-like person who sleeps less that 30 hours per week, then I don't want to have that life. But then again, bang @ajisuleiman mentioned something in his tweet. He said, (more or less) if you are doing something that you love, then sleep can wait. For me, it's reading. Reading loads of stuff that I don't have any idea about before. After that, it's writing. I enjoy the process of writing, but I enjoy even more the editing part. Maybe it has something to do with my minor OCD hehehe. If I love reading and writing so much, then why isn't my thesis finished yet? Well, I can only blame myself for that. I've been reading pretty lot about the topic, I've come to an answer to my thesis. Maybe that's the reason I am not fond to finish my thesis. Find another subject? Dude, this is already killing me, you tellin' me I should start from the beginning again?!?!

There's another activity that I enjoy doing. Sharing my knowledge to others. Maybe that is the reason why I created the @Legal1O1 account in twitter and creating the lexomnibus blog. This is my way to make the Indonesian people more aware of the law, and to share my thoughts to others. I also have two other projects, but I'd prefer to talk about that some other time :)

I am still unable to pinpoint what my passion is exactly. Maybe I'd have to have a discussion with Rene Soehardono first hehehe. I think I have to answer @mrshananto's famous line first: "tujuan lo apa?" :p
